Sustainability
We strive both personally and with our small business to make eco conscious decisions as much as possible.
Starting with the paper we make our patterns, being repurposed from a printing shop no longer in business. To our textiles, researched and chosen to be eco-friendly, OEKO TEX certified or deadstock fashion fabrics otherwise going to a landfill. We have some remaining wholesale textiles but have chosen to no longer purchase from suppliers and only purchase deadstock fabrics.
The majority of our notions including thread have been thrifted or upcycled. Our labels are organic, unbleached cotton made in North America and the tags we use to identify size were thrifted from a studio sale.
Even to ensure less waste with shipping materials our bags are biodegradable. The paper your garment is wrapped within is made from recycled materials, non toxic and can be recycled itself.
One step at a time we can make small sustainable choices that make a big impact. The fast fashion industry is quickly damaging our planet and exploiting the lives of others. Now more than ever it’s important to consume less and focus more on a long lasting wardrobe that when well taken care of can be styled throughout the years.
